Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how EMUspace (the "App") handles information when you use it. We built EMUspace to respect your privacy: your games and save data stay on your device, and we do not operate our own accounts or servers that store your personal content. A small number of third-party services (analytics, subscriptions, and advertising attribution) collect limited data as described below.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

EMUspace does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or other personal identifiers. We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us:

• Game files (ROMs/ISOs) you import into the App;
• Save data and save states, including screenshot thumbnails;
• App settings, such as language, skin, and control preferences.

You remain in full control of this data and can delete it at any time by removing the content within the App or deleting the App.

3. Cover Art Downloads

To display box art for your games, the App may request publicly available cover images from third-party image repositories. These requests include only the game title used for matching and do not include any personal information about you.

4. Third-Party Controllers & Services

EMUspace can connect to Bluetooth game controllers through Apple's frameworks. Any interaction with the App Store, iCloud, or Apple services is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

5. Analytics (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used so we can improve it. It may collect pseudonymous, aggregated usage data such as in-app events (for example, launching a game or viewing a screen), session and performance information, approximate device model and OS version, and an app-instance identifier. This data is not used to identify you personally. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase Privacy & Security.

6. Subscriptions (RevenueCat)

In-app subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat. When you purchase, restore, or when we check your subscription status, RevenueCat processes purchase and transaction information provided by Apple, together with an anonymous app user identifier. Payments are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

7. Advertising Attribution & Tracking

If you arrived at EMUspace through an advertisement, we measure whether that ad led to an install or subscription so we can spend our advertising budget wisely. For this we use Apple's AdServices / Apple Search Ads attribution and Google's on-device ad conversion measurement. On first launch the App asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," no advertising identifier is used and no cross-app or cross-site tracking takes place. Only if you allow tracking do we associate an attribution / advertising identifier with your install for this measurement. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

8. Cover Art & Controllers

EMUspace can also connect to Bluetooth game controllers through Apple's frameworks. Interactions with the App Store or Apple services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

9. Your Choices & Rights

• Decline advertising tracking via the App Tracking Transparency prompt or iOS Settings.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions.
• Delete all local data by removing content in the App or deleting the App.
• Depending on your region (e.g., EEA/UK GDPR or California CCPA), you may have rights to access or delete personal data — contact us and we will assist.

10. Children's Privacy

EMUspace is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Your Responsibility for Game Content

EMUspace does not include or distribute any games, BIOS files, or other copyrighted content. You are responsible for the legality of any content you import and use with the App.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
